How we build
Careful steps, checked twice
We write our code with help from AI coding tools, including Claude Code. AI tools also help review each change, and we are putting automated checks in place for every tool. A change goes live only after its checks pass.
The steps
From listening to looking after
Every change, large or small, goes through the same five steps. Nothing goes live until its checks pass.

- Listen to what people need
We start from the job a person is trying to do, not from a feature list. - Plan the whole job before writing code
The plan names every page, rule and risk, and what we need to decide first. - Build in small steps
Each change is small enough to read in one sitting and to undo if needed. - Check every change
We are putting tests, a build check, and accessibility and privacy checks in place for every change. - Release it, then look after it
We keep tools up to date and fix what breaks.
What we check before release
The same list for every website and app.
It works
Automated tests cover the rules a tool must keep, including what happens when someone tries to misuse it.
Anyone can use it
We aim for WCAG 2.2 level AA: readable contrast, keyboard use, screen readers and phone sizes.
It matches its privacy policy
No trackers, no ads, nothing stored that the privacy policy doesn't describe.
